Experience “Medication Error Reduction”? AdventHealth University (AHU) Nursing seniors immersed in Secured Medication Room, a Unity-based VR Experience jointly developed by AHU Immersive Technology Lab and Full Sail University’s seniors. This is phase 1 latest version and first roll out to a Nursing lab consists of eight student rotations. Led by Brandon Baker and Chris Lorentz at AHU, this innovative VR project is scheduled for training Nursing students during summer and later may be used for onboarding graduate nurses. When phases 2 and 3 are completed, the eventual goal is to help reduce medical errors, which is the third leading cause of death in United Stares according to CNBC.
